The owner and operator of Williams Hay Company since 1987, ExtendaLoader inventor Larry Williams certainly qualifies as a veteran of the agriculture industry. Furthermore, Mr. Williams, a farmer who is working the same plot of land that has been in his family for five generations, has been working on a farm for almost twenty years before 1987. In fact, some of Mr. Williams’ fondest memories are of working on the farm with his late father.
The Williams Hay Company’s primary line of business is supplying farmers in Williams’ East Texas region with high quality hay. Williams’ company also supplies feed stores and equestrians with high quality square bales. In the course of these operations, Mr. Williams’ company operates eight tractors (three of which currently utilize front-end loaders).
Mr. Williams has used multiple front-end loaders on his tractors over the years. While he has been pleased with the functionality they enable, he has also noticed a significant shortcoming: Front-end loaders are often just a few feet short of reaching the desired load, so Mr. Williams began thinking of how to extend the reach of a front-end loader in a manner that would not compromise its structural stability or lifting capacity.
After considerable brainstorming and planning, Williams conceived of the aptly-named ExtendaLoader, an extendable boom that lengthens the reach of a front-end loader by a distance of up to 3 feet. As he likes to say when highlighting the benefits of his unique innovation: “The ExtendaLoader, don’t buy a front-end loader without it!”
